In June of 2009 Sylvia e-mailed Painted Bar Stables to see if Erika would be interested in getting her back in the saddle again.  She had as a youngster grown up with horses and after having her own family, owned gaming horses for her son and one riding horse.  Erika, said she would be happy to give Sylvia lessons.  

She started out on a gentle quarter horse named Bubba and graduated to and became bonded with Maxie.  After taking lessons through to the Fall 2009, there came an opportunity to buy a little black and white Pinto, 14.2 hands.  Just right for Sylvia because she is a little on the short side. She only went to look and ended buying Misty Belle, which is part Paso Fino.  

During her weekly lessons at Painted Bar Stables she became acquainted with Lisa Birch who became her best friend. Most Fridays you will see her and Lisa either out riding Fire and Misty Belle, sifting stalls, burdock hunting in the Spring or just chatting, laughing and having a good time.
